This weekend we took a mini vacation to San Marcos and San Antonio for the Labor Day holiday. It was a great way to end our summer. We spent the weekend shopping, seeing the city, hanging by the pool, and riding in the river taxi. I found some great things while shopping in San Marcos, I always do. We bought clothes for the kids, clothes for us, and lots of new stuff for the house. I could have packed a Uhaul truck full if Allen would have let me. I found lots of great bargains like an All Clad fry pan marked down to $59.00, it was originally $249.00. Talk about a bargain!
I have been to San Antonio before, and our family always has a great time there. This time we went with my brother and sister in law so they could see for themselves how great the city is. We all spent our first day there eating wonderful mexican food, and touring the city on the river taxi. Our hotel was right on the riverwalk, which is amazing.
Our kids were so worn out by the end of the evenings there, we packed each day with so many activities. I had lots of fun but after 8 hours in the car I was ready to be home. Today I unpacked all of our bags, and all of the new stuff we bought and put it away. Even after the great hotel stay, there is no place like home. Have you went on a mini vacation recently?
