Simple Dessert | Apple Cinnamon Croissants | Cherry Croissants

I live in a small town in rural Oklahoma, and while living in a small town has its benefits, shopping isn't one of them. Especially when looking for gourmet/specialty food items. Dallas is only about 60 miles from where I live, so I try to go down there and shop for any specialty food items I can't find locally about once a month, sometimes more. One of my favorite places to shop for jellies, jams, and other pantry items would have to be Red Barn Foods, located in downtown Mckinney. They have a wide variety of products and the customer service is excellent. The owner is always so nice, and gives such great tips for cooking with each of the products. My favorite part of the shop would have to be their selection of Stonewall Kitchen  products. Anyone who has ever tried anything made by Stonewall Kitchen knows how amazing their products are, some of the best I have ever tasted. Ok,  I'm starting to ramble. Yesterday, my brother and I went to Mckinney, and stopped by our favorite shop to buy a new jar of Strawberry Champagne Jelly. We were talking to the owner and he convinced me to buy a jar of Cinnamon Apple Jelly, along with a jar of Sour Cherry Jam. He also gave me a great recipe using both products. Seriously, such a simple recipe, the only things you need are the jelly and a package of croissants. That's it!  I made the croissants today, and we have none left. So simple, so good. Sometimes simple is better, and this is one of those times. You could serve these at a party, and your friends would think you spent all day making them. They are so delicious.

Apple Cinnamon & Cherry Croissants

1 jar Stonewall Kitchen Cinnamon Apple Jelly
1 jar Stonewall Kitchen Sour Cherry Jam
2 packages Pillsbury Croissants ( 8 count)
1 tablespoon melted butter
1 tablespoon sugar ( for sprinkling)
1 teaspoon cinnamon ( for sprinkling)
Powdered sugar (for sprinkling)

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper and set aside. Mix together the cinnamon and sugar, set aside. Open the croissants and unroll them. Place a tablespoon of Cinnamon Apple Jelly in eight of the croissants and roll them back up. Place each of them on a baking sheet about 2 inches apart. Using a pastry brush, lightly brush each of the croissants with the melted butter. Sprinkle each one with the cinnamon sugar mixture. Put a tablespoon of Sour Cherry Jam in each of the other 8 croissants and then roll each one back up and place on the other baking sheet, about 2 inches apart. Put each sheet of croissants in the oven and bake until golden brown. Remove from the oven and allow the Cherry Croissants to cool for about 5 minutes before sprinkling with powdered sugar.
