Homemade Iced Caramel Macchiato

Over the last couple of years I have become a coffee lover. I also love all things Starbucks. The closest Starbucks is twenty two miles away, and I really can't justify driving that far each morning just to get coffee. So with that being said, I decided to make my own version at home. This was the perfect opportunity to  use my Verismo espresso maker, but this can be made with a regular coffee maker as well. This tastes almost identical to the one at Starbucks. Try it and see for yourself. Let me know what you think.

Homemade Iced Caramel Macchiato

5 ounces COLD brewed coffee ( I used Starbucks Veranda blend verismo pod)

4 tablespoons of caramel syrup ( I used Smuckers sundae syrup)

                                                                                                 1/3 cup International Delight Caramel
                                                                                                     Macchiato coffee creamer

1 tsp Starbucks classic syrup or 1 tsp
                                                                                                    sugar

                                                                                                     1 tsp pure vanilla extract

                                                                                                     whipped topping

Put 2 tablespoons of caramel syrup in bottom of mug. Put a few ice cubes on top of the syrup. Pour in the coffee, then add in the creamer, classic syrup, and vanilla. Stir well. Top with whipped cream and drizzle with remaining caramel syrup. Enjoy!
