Maple-Walnut Pie

Today we had fall weather, finally. It was perfect for baking, so I decided to make a pie. Please excuse the blurry photo, I had to use my phone to take this picture. I loaned my camera to a friend and I will get it back tomorrow. A few weeks ago I bought some mini pie cutters in fall shapes and have been dying to use them.

Better Homes and Gardens always has wonderful recipes and I happened to find their Maple Walnut Pie on Pinterest. This was a nice twist to Pecan Pie. Walnuts have become a favorite of mine so when I saw this recipe, I knew I had to make it. The filling is rich, sweet, and gooey. Amazing! I made it for our Sunday dinner this afternoon and the entire pie is almost gone. It would go very well with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream. My mom has requested I make this for our Thanksgiving dinner so it is a keeper. Go on and see for yourself.
