Planning Our Tailgating Party

Well it's that time of year again, yep that's right, football season. Allen isn't a football fan, but my dad watches each and every game religiously. I watch a few games like the Texas and Ou game, and I always watch the superbowl. What I like most about football season is the tailgating parties. I love to entertain, and football is a great excuse for a party.

Next weekend, We are having a few friends over to watch a game so I am trying to get the menu together. One of the guys coming over requested  I make my salsa. A good hostess must please her guest so salsa it is! It will make a quick and easy appetizer. Allen mentioned he would like to grill some steaks so there is the meat for the entree. These guys have made menu planning easy. Now I just have to figure out what to make with steak and salsa.  Maybe we can do a flank steak with chimichurri sauce. Grilled fingerling potato salad would make a nice side dish. I think I will also make roasted corn with chili lime butter. My menu is complete. Wait, I forgot dessert, I'm thinking sopapilla cheescake bites to go along with the overall theme. Now the menu is finished. Are you a football fan? Do you tailgate?
